Course Selection

Information:

Teacher Recommendations: review in Skyward: January 8
Accelerated Placement Act information was sent home on 12/19/25. Students who achieved scores that qualify for Accelerated Placement will see the placements in Skyward after winter break.
The Course Guidebook- explore for course options, pre-reqs, and descriptions.
Course Selection Worksheet (the "longsheet") are distributed to students during the Course Selection Presentations. See dates above. Students are to bring a completed their completed Course Selection Worksheet with PARENT/GUARDIAN SIGNATURE to their course selection appointment with their counselor.
Enter course requests in Skyward.
Course Selection Appointment: Attend counselor meeting (time/date of appt are listed on your course selection worksheet), and bring your parent/guardian SIGNED course selection worksheet. Please encourage your student to mark their appointment down in their planner and set an alarm on their device. If your student cannot make their appointment or misses their appointment, please have them contact their counselor ASAP.
Student and Parents/Guardians are to review the final course selection requests in Skyward by February 11.

Following course selection appointments, students and families are to review course requests in Skyward. Students are to email their school counselor if changes are necessary.
No changes will be made to course requests for the 2026-27 school year after February 11
D230 permits students to request course changes during the first five days of the semester. No changes will be made to accommodate requests for teacher, lunch or class period preference.
